Anxiety can show up as physical symptoms;
- change in appetite or sleep
- a racing heart
- panic attacks
- muscle tension
It can feel so scary.
Like being out of control.
Depression and Anxiety are often interconnected. Thoughts can get obsessive zeroing in on the negatives and “what if” scenarios.
Focusing on the past or future. Interfering with your ability to enjoy the present.
On the surface, you have it all together. But in your head there’s this on going cascade of negative thoughts.

To manage stress and address anxiety and/or depression, I may use supportive counseling, Mindfulness, and an evidence based treatment approach called Cognitive Behavioral Therapy also known as CBT and Exposure Therapy, when indicated.
You’ll learn CBT and other strategies to better handle stressors.
Stress Management Counseling
Stress management tools and brief CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy) and/or mindfulness homework assignments are offered, if you like, so you can build on your progress in between counseling sessions.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy can help you put your mind under new management.
When successfully treated with therapy and or CBT, Anxiety and Depression can be replaced by feelings of hopefulness rather than constant dread and a return to interest and pleasure in activities, work, and relationships.
Maybe it’s time to tell the negative committee in your head to sit down and shut up.
